Ok, by the title I will tell you all that this posting is going to be everything Dave. Dave, my biological younger brother. I talk to Dave this afternoon and he told me that he gave this blog site to his girlfriend (who is also named Karen, but he calls her by her Taiwanese name Wei-shou, because it’s too creepy to “make out with another Karen.”) Now we’ll see if my parents read my blog (mom says she reads it, dad has no idea what a blog is.) If they read this then they know that Dave is now officially dating said girlfriend.
Karen, I guess came to this site and was disappointed on how little I post about Dave and she had no idea why I would trade a Dave for a Ben in the brother category. (Oops I used the word Ben, bad me!
) According to Karen, Dave is just so sweet and cuddly, who wouldn’t want him for a brother… um…. no comment…
So Dave is a Professor at Ming Chuan University in Taiwan. He teaches in their graduate studies department. He teaches subjects like sociology, history and English to grad students, all in English. In his free time he continues to play soccer and coach soccer (like he did when he too was at St. Olaf College.) He also helps run a magazine and website about the nightlife in Taiwan. So he has to check out local bands, restaurants, hotspots, etc. Rough life
He wants to come back to the United States to get his Ph.D. He’s hoping to come back next fall. I guess he has a lot of programs to look at right now.
Ok that’s about all there is to summarize Dave right now.
So GO DAVE! (Are you happy now?) Here’s a picture of Dave and me taken a couple of years ago.
And of course to the really important stuff
Ben has been deployed for 26 days
