15,000 Words

9 11 2007
I’ve had a sinus infection since I came back from my trip to Florida, so I’m not back to being fully back to my normal self (whatever normal means.  After all these years, I’ve stopped trying to define what normal is. :) )  And I’ve been trying to keep up with the National Novel Writing Month contest NaNoWriMo.  As of today we’re supposed to have written 15,000 words, well I stopped my writing in mid sentence to do this post to let you all know that I’ve reached 15,000 words!  YEAH!  Go me!
I really didn’t think that I would even make it this far at the end of the month.  I also worried that I would have nothing to write about, but it seems every day that as I type the plot and the characters just seem to come out and flow.  I will tell you that I have no idea what’s going to happen next, and I’m not going to plan what I’m going to write tomorrow, because it is much better for me to just let things happen.  My characters are fleshing themselves out and they’re heading towards the weekend that the main part of the novel is going to be set (I think?!) which is over a weekend of a wedding.  (Many thanks to my cousin Chad and his new wife Meridith for the wedding idea.)  So it’s onward ho from here!

all right, KMH. Either give us all a link to your novella (or is it a novel now?) or post some more.
